In this role, you will be responsible for management and advancement of fast-growing UK development team coding critical global product features, API’s as well as EU-specific functionality within a Java stack. In the first 12 months you will:

Be a technical leader on your team : Our development managers are also involved in developing our product and helping drive the solutions your team produces

Complete your team by hiring great developers: You will start out with a core of 5 experienced developers, all based in the UK. We’ll work with you to hire the rest of your team.

Be an EU-centric voice in a cross-matrix global team prioritising functionality changes: Then create the design specifications for development from approved business cases and perform impact analysis of new features or changes to existing features within the Fieldglass application.

Empower your team to do good engineering work: Help manage positive change as we change some of our tools strategy for the better. Ensure your team sees the benefits of this change which will enable them to use the right tools for the right job,

Be a mentor to future leaders: Your team will have a mix of senior and junior developers. They will look to you to help steer their careers at SAP Fielglass.

Maintain a work/life balance: Our developers and managers work hard and have challenging problems to solve, but they go home at the end of the day and enjoy their evenings and weekends. We can’t promise you’ll never work late, but we can promise that it is not accepted as “normal.”

 

In order to accomplish this you will need to:

  • Be prepared to spend up to 50% of your time coding! This is a job for someone who loves software as well as people-management and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
  • Provide feedback on functionality requests regarding feasibility and complexity.
  • Analyse and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and application through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation and problem resolution.
  • Manages developer resource allocation at the project level
  • Build a high performing team concerning engineering and social aspects

Including hiring the best people from within / outside the company, fostering motivation and integration of employees as well as team learning and development.

  • Set clear goals with team members, inspires and supports them towards accomplishing these goals and evaluates goal achievement in a fair and understandable way.
  • Create an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Actively seek to coach and help with personal development. Regularly offer feedback to help others develop.

What do you need to bring?

 

  • 7+ years of development, testing, and deployment experience in a Java environment
  • Experience in leading training a small to medium sized team of Software Engineers
  • Programming experience with cloud, SaaS and web-based applications
  • Experience with going through a full software development cycle
  • Experience of both Waterfall & Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Java or J2EE and one or more of these technologies:

JSP, Struts, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Interest in and willingness to learn new technologies and products.

Titles:Use your school name and the name of the sport in the title of your article.  Example: "Forest Hills Northern football takes down Grand Rapids Christian" is a great, search-engine-friendly title to an article.  Search engines don't know that you're writing directly for your school, so you need to write your titles like you're writing for a worldwide audience if you want Google to find your story.  (Exception: Don’t force it where it doesn’t fit.  If you write like a robot you risk losing your human audience.)2. Tags:Use tags religiously, but keep them short.Example: "Volleyball" is a good tag.  "East Kentwood Volleyball" is a bad tag.  Names are also great tags, so "Betsy Smith" works too.  Search engines look to the tags to properly index your article, so be sure that you're using them (hint: they're on the right side of the screen when you write an article).3.   • Aktive Betreuung der bestehenden Kundenbeziehung sowie der Aufbau von Kundenbeziehungen zu neuen Kunden/Fachbereichen im Kundenset

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

Customers expect fast ROI with low cost and low risk, so one of SAP’s success factors for the future is the ability to offer simple and rapidly implementable solutions. S/4HANA Cloud, SAP’s next-generation ERP business suite, was designed with this in mind from the start, as for an ERP product in the Cloud a smooth implementation experience is key for success.

This new end-to-end implementation experience includes a “Guided Configuration” approach to customization. Guided Configuration puts configuration settings or “implementation content” in the customizing tables of an S/4HANA Cloud system which enable running business processes out of the box. In addition, it provides the necessary tools to configure the system to the needs of the customer.

The SAP S/4HANA Central Content services organization is part of S/4HANA Cloud Development and enables the S/4HANA Cloud development teams to deliver new features and the business configuration content in high quality based on defined guidelines / governance with each quarterly S/4HANA cloud release. Within Central Content services, the content architecture team works close together with the content development teams and the content framework team – our tool-provider, and other organizations within the SAP S/4HANA cloud area development.

For our central cloud content architecture team, we are looking for a development expert/product expert or solution expert in Walldorf.

 

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

You will be part of central cloud content architecture team within Central Content Services. Your main tasks are:

  • Responsible for dedicated content authoring and architectural topics of SAP S/4HANA configuration content (e.g. authoring process, content life cycle management aspects)
    • Drive aligned and consistent mission and design principles of preconfigured content (e.g. A2O, content life cycle)
    • Provide content architecture guidelines and standards
    • Drive architectural concepts across different units
    • Act as an interface between to content development teams and the content framework team regarding roll-in and roll-out of related topics
  • Evaluate architecture risks and estimate effort for business cases or backlog items, prepare management decisions on these topics.
    • Contribute to S/4HANA Cloud portfolio process, drive concepts and specifications
    • Collaborates with management and content owner to validate feasibility, and scope of the business case
  • Translate business and product related requirements into tool requirements, models and content architecture
    • Support content development teams in the respective LOBs acording to requirements
    • Collect and define Architecture Requirements and translate / consolidate into tool requirements
  • Align architecture with stakeholders regarding architectural or technical dependencies
    • Close collaboration with product/content owners, application (LOB) and tool development teams (content framework)
    • Participation in P&I reviews (developed feature & function)
  • Proposes improvements and innovations for preconfigured content but also in development processes and methodologies

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

Required skills:

  • Bachelor, Master or Diploma degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • Ability to understand and provide solution proposals for handling complex business scenarios and drive various topics simultaneously
  • Knowledge of cloud qualities and the specific challenges along the customer content lifecycle
  • Good knowledge of SAP Implementation tools (e.g. IMG / customizing infrastructure)
  • Good SAP ERP product knowledge (e.g. MM, FI, SD)
  • Experience with SAP ERP customer implementation projects
  • Experience working in an international, multi-cultural setup and good team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German, ability to interact with developers, customers as well as with management in a global work environment
  • Innovative thinking and strong willingness to learn
  • Good technical and analytical skills

 

Preferred skills:

  • Software development knowledge/skills
  • Knowledge of ABAP language and debugging skills

7+ years’ experience in SAP consulting or other SAP product experience.

Responsible for creation, monitoring and review of business development activities around the solution- or industry- specialization area. Coaches partner sales reps to interact with prospects in large or complex SW deals in his area of solution / industry expertise in order to position the value of the respective SW or industry solution as supported by ROI, business case development, references, and supporting analyst data. Ensures high conversion rate from pipeline to deal closure, Shortening of the sales process and improvement of win rate in order to achieve real volume business. Be an expert on the competition with their assigned industry and/or geography. Understand competitive threats (e.g., how to beat the competition).

 

Drives deal closure by inserting him-/herself in big and complex opportunities of partners assigned. Balances his direct / indirect activities in order to maximize the revenue in the territory assigned.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The primary purpose of the Senior Solution Sales Executive is to achieve their overall revenue goal.  In order to achieve this goal, the Senior Solution Sales Executive must create a complete territory business plan that generates at least 3x their quota in pipeline opportunity. The Senior Solution Sales Executive is responsible to identify and qualify opportunities, develop and drive strategy. The Senior Solution Sales Executive will develop an opportunity plan containing the value proposition for all of SAP's targeted line of business  solutions (CRM, HCM, SCM, GRC, EPM, Business Intelligence, etc.) and services to potential customers & prospects in that territory. It is expected that the Senior Solution Sales Executive be adept at creating and nurturing executive relationships on their own while positioning the SAP executive team.

Works with the Sales Manager and team to develop and execute programs to drive pipeline & close deals

Works with the Regional VAT to educate target accounts on the solution set and conducts account planning for strategic deals

WORK EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience selling business software and/or IT solutions

You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying SAP CP opportunities, developing, driving strategy, and closing deals.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Representing SAP and its CP product line in customer accounts of all sizes in the Process Industry.
  • Meet and exceed direct sales goals within assigned geographic territory.
  • Manage and track customer engagement and activity through SAP’s established sales processes and systems as well as keeping customer account data current and accurate.
  • Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process including lead generation, qualification, evaluation, close and account care.
  • Independently run discovery sessions with lines of business while leading the sales cycle.
  • Effectively advise and influence customers through consultative selling techniques.
  • Articulate HCP (Paas) solutions in terms of ROI to the customer.
  • Provide product demonstrations to prospects.
  • Research the customer environment to create effective business impact models, build business cases, ROI & TCO models.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of SAP CP and the related offerings from SAP
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Mandatory skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related fields (Business / Engineering or Technology).
  • You love innovate cloud solutions and understand data! You have the aptitude to become a master of Cloud Platform and will use it to manage YOUR territory effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and technical skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills including collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and persuasion.

Purpose and Objectives

SAP Nearshore Center Romania is a group that provides remote SAP consulting service to SAP customers. This group serves customers worldwide via tight cooperation with other local SAP consulting teams. This means worldwide delivery commitment in areas including SAP ERP application, SAP Supply Chain Management application, SAP Customer Relation Management application, SAP Strategic Enterprise Management application, SAP Supplier Relationship Management application, and solutions for Retail and Financial Services industries

Expectations and tasks

  • Perform the role of a technical consultant on projects (technical SAP installations, upgrades/ Implementations, database migrations, etc.)
  • Maintain high degree of knowledge / understanding a variety of SAP Technologies and applications
  • Take directions from manager in terms of areas of development and utilization and from Project Managers in work on projects mode
  • Formulate and track work plans and delivery milestones in keeping with client expectations. Continually report progress as required;
  • Instruct technical classes, conduct customer workshops and support presales / bid management
  • Ready to travel for assignments within EMEA region mainly (short term and long term) (up to 50% of working time)

Education and qualifications

  • Graduate or Master Degree in Computer or Electronics & Communication Engineering / Computer science / Information Technology systems/ Computer applications / IT Business Systems
  • SAP curriculum for Basis consultants or equivalent
  • Certification in SAP Basis is preferred (if not, should be able to complete the certification within 6 months if hired)

Technical Skills

  • SAP Basis and /or SAP Security – Strong Knowledge and Hands on experience of Technical Planning , Installations, Upgrades, Maintenance etc.,
  • Capacity to deliver completely autonomous into projects, run projects in parallel;
  • Technically fluent in Operating System (Unix/Windows/Linux), Database (HANA/Oracle/DB2/SQL Server/MaxDB ) administration, hardware technologies and benchmarking of the same for SAP Applications
  • Experience in Performance tuning, Troubleshooting, Technical reviews and Audits
  • Exposure to Pre-sales, Bid Management, Technical trainer, Coach/Mentor.
  • Provide coaching for associate consultants within projects delivery
  • Continually develop SAP solution core skills and business knowledge based on accumulated experience;
  • Able to provide knowledge transfer from certain technology areas for which will be responsible for research and excellence

Personal Skills:

  • Fluent Romanian
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • German is an advantage
  • Good communication skills and exposure to quality process frameworks
  • Experience in communication with customers and managing expectations
  • Proactive in learning and highly self-motivated
  • Good team player and ability to deliver stand alone or into a team (distributed) on projects
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level applications and understanding of Global Delivery model
  • Flexibility to travel is a must

Work experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience (with at least 5 years of total IT experience) in administering SAP Applications - ABAP/JAVA Stack administration (SAP Business Suite, SAP Basis, SAP Mobility platform, SAP Business Analytics Platforms Solution Manager, Portal, PI, Netweaver etc.,) along with at least two full cycle implementation
  • Experience in performing a role as a Technical Consulting at least two end-to-end projects (Upgrades, Implementations etc.,)

The Account Executive’s primary responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing new business to existing and net new customers. Business Planning – Develop and deliver comprehensive business plan to address customer and prospects priorities and pain points.   Utilize VE, benchmarking and ROI data to support the customer’s decision process.

Demand Generation, Pipeline and Opportunity Management

Pipeline planning - Follow a disciplined approach to maintaining a rolling pipeline. Keep pipeline current and moving up the pipeline curve. 

Pipeline partnerships – Leverage support organizations including Marketing, Inside sales, Partners and channels to funnel pipeline into the assigned territory.  

Leverage SAP Solutions – Be proficient in and bring all SAP offers to bear on sales pursuits including Industry Solutions, LOB solutions (CRM, SCM, HCM, SRM et. al) and technology solutions (Business Analytics, Mobility, Database and Technology, et. al)

Advance and close sales opportunities - through the successful execution of the sales strategy and roadmap.

Support all SAP promotions and events in the territory

Sales Excellence

Sell value.  

Maintain White Space analysis and execution of initiatives (up sell and cross sell) on customer base.

Orchestrate resources: deploy appropriate teams to execute winning sales.  Create OneSAP.

Utilize best practice sales models.

Understand SAP’s competition and effectively position solutions against them.

Maintain CRM system with accurate customer and pipeline information.

Leading a (Virtual) Account Team

Demonstrates leadership skills in the orchestration of remote teams.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

10+  years of experience in sales of complex business software / IT solutions

Proven track record in business application software sales.

Experience in lead role of a team-selling environment.

Demonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative and competitive market.

The “Search & Web-Analytics” team is a part of the IT Services organization.
